Following in the footsteps of our friends at Special Olympics, we’re encouraging everyone to stop the use of the demeaning ”R” word. For individuals with an intellectual disability, the word ‘retarded’ is hurtful, offensive and derogatory and we strongly believe it has no place in our communities. Want to help?
